South Whidbey Stingrays Swim Club
Welcome to the South Whidbey Stingrays. We are a recreational swim club that accepts swimmers 6-17 years of age. Our mission is to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere in which to learn the four competitive strokes of swimming. Swimmers will develop endurance, strength, work ethic, positive self-image and above all a love for the sport of swimming. Our coaches are committed to serving both the recreational and competitive swimmer.
How To Join
Anyone wishing to join the Stingrays may come to the Island Athletic Club pool for a tryout. Entry level swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing, 25 yards of backstroke, and must know how to swim breaststroke.
Tryouts are offered Thursdays at 6:00 except on swim meet days. When you arrive at IAC please stop by the front desk to sign a liability form. An IAC staff member will then direct you to the pool. You will need to bring a swim suit, towel and goggles. If you don’t have goggles we have loaner pairs.
Due to high demand, we may have a waiting list and will contact you when space is available. If space is available you will then complete the registration process. The following documents will need to be completed with payment prior to the first practice.
1. Contact-Information/Liability Waiver
Click here for the Stingrays Contact Information-Liablility Waiver form Please download, print and bring completed form to IAC prior to first practice.)
This document forms the basis for our team roster and communication list, so it is essential that you complete each line and write legibly.

Once payment and registration forms are completed you may begin to practice on designated dates and times.
