Kimmie George
Kimmie believes
that exercise is essential to maintaining optimal overall health
and well-being. Her goal as a personal trainer is to assess the
personal needs of each client and to develop a safe and effective
program tailored to those specific needs. She is particularly interested
in working with those who are focusing on weight reduction, reducing
the effects of chronic disease, developing greater muscle mass,
increasing athletic performance, and improving overall health by
making long lasting changes to diet and exercise routines. She follows
the guidelines set out by the National Academy of Sports Medicine,
and encourages clients to follow a program based on research discussed
in Younger Next Year, a book by Chris Crowley and Henry Lodge describing
how to dramatically reduce the effects of aging. Kimmie believes
that nutritious meal choices and regular exercise commitments can
be difficult to implement, and is dedicated to helping clients make
those difficult changes. She uses body composition analysis, body
measurements, and other assessment tools to help track the progress
of her clients, and offers continual encouragement and support to
help them achieve their goals.
Kimmie is certified as a personal trainer by the National
Academy of Sports Medicine. She is certified by the United
States Water Fitness Association as a certified water fitness
instructor. She has an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M
University and a Master's Degree in Education from The University
of Iowa. She is certified in Emergency First Response and
is a PADI certified Dive Master. Kimmie recently completed
advanced NASM training as a Corrective Exercise Specialist
and Performance Enhancement Specialist.
Kimmie offers a free personal consultation to anyone interested
in discussing options to improve overall health and athletic performance.
She is available to help clients make the changes needed to make
fitness an important part of their life.
