Semi-Private Training

Island Athletic Club’s new Semi-Private Training Program is up and running.  Our Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors are offering Semi-Private training sessions for groups of three to six people.  The intimacy of the small group format ensures a dynamic, affordable, and personal experience.

These four-week sessions will be creative, flexible, and challenging.  Look for fliers around the Club with more info, or click here to see the current list of sessions being offered.

Solar Power

IAC’s solar panels are working hard. In fact, our nine-month-old solar panels recently generated their 6,000th kilowatt hour of electricity.

Semi-Private Training

Need a little extra attention to make the next step your fitness journey? Then sign up for a small group training course in IAC’s new Semi-Private Training room! We are now offering six challenging, effective, and gratifying multi-session courses, all of which are held in our former cycling studio. (That’s the room on your left as you enter the club.)

 

Our 6 courses are: Winter Conditioning (taught by Jon Atkins); Core Mat (with Chizue Rudd); Skinny Jeans (with Jane Gerlach); Circuit Basics (with Mundo Corrales); Circuit Intensive (with Lila Browne); and Better Balance (with Sara Birger).

 

Courses range from four to eight sessions, and sessions run from 30 minutes to one hour each. Ask for details at the Member Service Desk.

Learn to Swim

Carolyn, Debi and Jordan are offering private and semi-private swim lessons several days each week. Morning and afternoon lessons are available, and all three instructors currently have openings in their schedules.

ONE MILLION CALORIES

We did it!  Our Group Cycling classes worked together to burn one million calories.  We reached our goal at 10AM on 12/22/2011.

Holiday Hours

We will close at 2PM on Christmas Eve.  Christmas Day we will be closed all day.

On New Years Eve, we will have regular Saturday hours…8AM – 6PM.  We will be closed New Year’s Day
